Thanks for being interested in my page! My name is Olivia Nelson- I am currently pregnant with a baby boy- however it wasn't the easiest journey to get here and I don't want to forget how I felt in those hard times. I started my fertility journey very unprepared- I married my partner, stopped taking my contraceptive pill and naively hoped I would happily fall pregnant shortly after our wedding day. I had no idea that I would experience a miscarriage shortly after our fairytale wedding- making me realise that life doesn't always go as planned. I had no idea that after my miscarriage I would struggle to get pregnant again and step into the world of infertility. I didn't know I would need surgery to remove endometriosis and fertility medication to finally become pregnant.

I questioned everything- struggling with how everyone else around me seemed to fall pregnant so easily- yet I was losing hope myself. I became obsessed with trying for a baby and I lost myself, I struggled to recognise the person I used to be before this chapter in my life. When I finally started to realise that I needed some support on this journey- I realised there was none. I could not find anyone or any services to reach out to locally, I felt so alone.

Eventually I started to shift my mindset- I began training to become a holistic fertility therapist and hoped to help myself and in the future help others. I want this service to be everything I wish I had. I wish I was better prepared to even start trying for a baby- I now feel strongly about educating women about our own bodies and feeling more empowered to start our fertility journeys.

I have been a qualified health care professional, an occupational therapist, for over 9 years and I am ready to combine my skills with my fertility training to support women.
